Relan - More Than Just a Bag

Let’s start by answering, “why choose Relan?”

Relan offers more than just beautiful reusable bags. We are on a mission to create a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Our goal is to make sustainability simple by transforming old marketing materials into something new by providing your fans, employees, and stakeholders with a piece of your history that is sustainable and upcycled that they can use across the globe to promote your company’s brand.

Relan helps you drive the triple bottom line and achieve your sustainability goals. We do this by giving your banners, billboards, overstock t-shirts, and more, a second life which tells your brand’s sustainability story.

When you partner with Relan, you are communicating sustainability with something beyond words that they touch and see, providing tangible proof which is an excellent way to begin real connections with your customers.

1. Your Brand. Your Story.

You put hours of sweat and hard work to get your creative approved and on the street. Now your campaign is over. Do you let your hard work just go in the trash?

What if it were possible for your company to create positive brand awareness, stretch your marketing dollars, AND create unique, eco-friendly marketing products that are different from anything your customers have ever seen before.

It is.

Relan specializes in creating eco-friendly marketing products that give your brand an edge over your competition.

Relan products serve as:

  • brand storytelling products
  • mobile advertising pieces on the go
  • custom, branded gifts
  • fan, employee, customer, and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • exclusive or limited edition items created from your brand
  • brand loyalty giveaways
  • get creative!

2. Showcase Your Shared Values

Team up with event sponsors to co-brand environmentally friendly products to showcase your love for sustainability.

The annual Pacers Foundation Golf Outing, founded by the Pacers Sports & Entertainment, is one of the largest fundraisers for the organization which brings together a unique mix of Pacers players, coaches, media personalities, corporate partners, and season ticket holders.

Wanting to show their appreciation, the Pacers teamed up with event sponsor Bud Light to create co-branded coolers, complete with custom labels, to ensure that the golfers and participants stayed well-hydrated during the event.

In line with the sustainability values of the Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the coolers were created from repurposing Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever banners that previously hung at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

By giving the participants each co-branded coolers, they were able to tangibly communicate the Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Bud Light’s commitment to sustainability during and long after the event was over.

3. Give Back to the Community

Niki McDowell, a foster parent and mother of an adopted daughter, decided to take action by giving back and created Share Hugs, a Kansas-based organization dedicated to providing bags and blankets to children entering foster care.

Relan was honored to partner Share Hugs to create foster youth mesh laundry bags made from mesh banners donated by the Birmingham Museum of Art.

"I loved working with Kari and Relan. They created mesh laundry bags for me to donate to Foster Care Organizations to use for kiddos going into care. The bags were all one of a kind and so much better than trash bags. They worked on a custom label for the bags with emergency contact information. Now, I am working with Relan on products that I sell to raise more money to purchase more laundry bags. Thank you again for all the help! I can’t strongly endorse you enough.”

— Niki McDowell, Share Hugs

As a result of the generous donation by the Birmingham Museum of Art, Relan and Share Hugs were able to keep nearly 1,000 square feet of material out of landfills and create 130 bags for children in need.

Which leads us to the next reason why companies should recycle their banners and billboards.

4. Greener Marketing Option

Environmentally friendly items boost your overall marketing strategy by demonstrating your brand’s values and the Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) took this message to heart.

The (BGA) is an industry-wide initiative that educates, motivates, and inspires the entire theatre community and its patrons to adopt environmentally friendlier practices.

BGA, the company manager for Wicked the Musical sent us their advertising banners with their signature colors and branding so we could create greener marketing items that would replace their current wicked swag.

5. Give Sustainable VIP Gifts

VIP’s are a crucial part for a business so when the Minnesota Wild wanted to give their season ticket holders a limited edition, commemorative hockey bag, we took to the drawing board and designed a custom bag just for them.

The upcycled hockey bags were manufactured from banners that hung during the 2016 Stadium Series which was held outdoors at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
