One company that consistently gives it their all is Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the event production company for Bankers Life Fieldhouse where two well-known professional basketball teams, NBA’s Indiana Pacers and WNBA’s Fever, call home. A multi-faceted venue, the Bankers Life Fieldhouse also plays host to various concerts and health events.


Sustainability has increasingly become an important issue to Pacers Sports & Entertainment. During the 2016-17 NBA season, the Indiana Pacers implemented a recycling effort in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse and are asking their fans to participate in order for them to reach their goals of reducing waste at the venue.

Pacers Foundation Golf Outing

When Pacers Sports & Entertainment reached out to us to create sustainable products for them, we didn’t realize the products would be part of their September 21, 2016, Pacers Foundation Golf Outing, one of organization’s largest annual charity fundraisers!  We were thrilled to be part of this event where roughly two hundred attendees comprised of Indiana Pacers players, staff, seasonal ticket holders, corporate partners, and media personalities, all came together to raise money over a friendly round of golf.

To ensure that the golfers and participants stayed well-hydrated, we were asked to create coolers that were co-sponsored by the Indiana Pacers and Bud Light. In line with the Pacers Sports & Entertainment’s sustainability values, coolers were made by repurposing Indiana Pacers and Fever banners that hung at Bankers Life Fieldhouse that were no longer being used.


For the Indiana Pacers, branding doesn’t stop after the fourth quarter. By giving the participants co-branded coolers at the Pacers Foundation Golf Outing, they were able to tangibly experience the sustainability efforts by Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Fans hold themselves accountable to protecting the environment and they hold businesses to those same standards. By having green initiatives in place, like upcycling vinyl banners, fans become more loyal because it gives them another, easy way to help the environment.
